Not just your ordinary family photographs.

Every season families travel to the beach for some quality time with one another in this beautiful location. From families of three with their first baby, to larger family reunions, the Outer Banks is such a special place to so many people. Many families choose to book a family photo session while they are here. I am lucky enough to call the beach home and am available for family sessions throughout the main season, as well as throughout the year. My goal with my family photography is to move beyond “say cheese” and “smile”. I really want to take the time to capture you and your family as you are in this very moment. Tell your story in this place and time, just as you are. Through a mix of gentle prompts, encouragement and noticing, I will photograph your group throughout all the little moments of our time together. I will notice the details, fleeting interactions, small kisses, glances, intimate details— and document those along with your portrait shots.
